On the 8th of March, the ULBC women fielded three eights at the women’s head of the river. The first eight placed 9th, and as 2nd in the University pennant category. The second eight placed 28th, as 4th University 2nd eight; and the third eight 84th, as 4th university C crew.

A couple of weeks later marked the men’s turn to have a run down the track. The first eight placed 11th overall, as 2nd university crew and winners of the inaugural Thames Valley Academic Award. The second eight placed 65th.
