2017 WOMEN’S HEAD OF THE RIVER – Crew Announcement

Fresh from being crowned British University Champions the University of London Boat Club (ULBC) has named two women’s eights for the Women’s Head Of The River this Saturday.

A fortnight ago ULBC won the Women’s Team Trophy at BUCS Head, in Newcastle, along with the Championship Eights and Championship Quad titles. A strong head racing season has seen UL post the fastest women’s times at both the Pair’s and Four’s Head of the River, and match racing against Cambridge University.

The two crews are made up of student athletes from seven of the eighteen universities that make up the University of London, and contain a mixture of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Both crews contain athletes with international racing experience, at Junior and U23 World Championship level.

ULBC supporters will be gathering from 15:00 on the terrace at the White Hart Pub (next to Barnes Bridge) to view the race. All alumni, family & friends of current athletes are encouraged to join. The race starts at 15:30.
