ULBC has selected four men’s and four women’s eights for The Head of The River and Women’s Head of The River, both held this weekend.

WEHORR, this Saturday, will see four UL women’s eights race for the first time ever at the event, displaying the strength & depth currently of the UL Women’s program. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Eights will all contain athletes with international racing experience.

The UL Women’s 1st Eight, starting 4th, is coxed by Matilda Horn (GB Women’s Eight, 2017 World Championships). She’s joined by five athletes with U23 World Championship experience and Sara Parfett, now a member of the GB Senior team whilst still completing her Masters at King’s College, London.

HORR takes place on Sunday, with four UL men’s eights racing. The UL Men’s 1st Eight starts 8th and contains seven athletes with U23 World Championship experience. The UL Men’s 1st Eight won Gold at BUCS Head in February, with the UL 2nd Eight winning Silver.

ULBC supporters will be gathering on the terrace at the White Hart Pub (next to Barnes Bridge) to view both the races. All alumni and family & friends of current athletes are invited to join. (For exact location click here).
