HORR 2017 – Crew Announcement

The University of London Boat Club (ULBC) have selected three men’s eights to race the 2017 Head of The River (HORR) this Saturday.

The UL Men finished their HORR preparations with Kingston Head last weekend, winning the Elite, Senior and IM1 eights categories, capping a successful head racing season.

The UL Men’s 1st Eight will start 8th this Saturday. All three UL men’s eights are made up completely of students, from seven of the eighteen Univeristy of London colleges; UCL, King’s College, Queen Mary + Barts, Royal Holloway, Birkbeck, St. George’s and the Royal Veterinary College. All three boats contain athletes with Great Britain junior team experience and the two top eights both contain Henley Royal winners. In addition to the three ULBC crews racing 14 eights are entered from UL college boat clubs.

ULBC supporters will be gathering from 14:00 on the terrace at the White Hart Pub (next to Barnes Bridge) to view the race. All alumni, family & friends of current athletes are encouraged to join. The race starts at 14:15.
