BUCS HEAD 2019 – Tough conditions but UL wins medals in every event raced

The University of London returned from a wet & windy Gloucester having won medals in every event raced.

Afternoon racing (Men’s Eights and Women’s Fours & Quads) was cancelled but morning racing (Women’s Eights and Men’s Fours) went ahead on the challenging course, despite a lengthy delay for some crews. The UL Women’s 1st Eight came down the course first, taking SILVER in Championship Eights.

UL had Men’s crews entered into Championship Coxed & Coxless Fours, Intermediate Coxed Fours and Lightweight Coxless Fours, winning a GOLD, two SILVERS and a BRONZE:
Men’s Championship Lightweight Four – GOLD
Men’s Championship Coxed Four – SILVER
Men’s Championship Coxless Four – BRONZE
Men’s Intermediate Coxed Four – SILVER

ULBC returns to racing next weekend, in Amsterdam at the Heninken Roeivierkamp, before the Women’s Head of the River (March 16th) and Men’s Head of the River (March 30th).
