ULBC SET FOR BUCS HEAD – Large team travels west to defend titles

The University of London travel to Gloucester this weekend for BUCS Head, as defending champions of both Men’s & Women’s Championship Eights.

ULBC dominated all the Championship sweep events 12 months ago in Newcastle, winning Gold in Men’s & Women’s Championship Eights, Champ Coxless Fours and Champ Coxed Fours but expect a much tougher test this time round. The UL Women’s 1st Eight, current British University Champions, will be looking to win Championship Eights for the fourth consecutive year.

This will be the first BUCS event for a number of UL freshers, including Georgie ROBINSON-RANGER (Henley Rowing Club, GB Junior World’s 2018) and Isaac WORKMAN (Windsor Boys School, HRR Fawley Winner 2018), both of whom will be awarded UL Whites for selection in the UL Men’s & Women’s 1st Eights.

University of London crews begin racing on Sunday morning in Gloucester, with the Women’s 1st Eight going off crew number 1. ULBC then races next in Amsterdam, at the Heninken Roeivierkamp, prior to the Women’s Head of the River (March 16th) and Men’s Head of the River (March 30th).
