The UL Boathouse is one of the UK’s largest boathouse’s housing not just ULBC but also seven boat club’s from UL’s constituent colleges. The very large west London site has ten boat bays and is the centre for student rowing in the capital. The UL Boathouse is also home to the ULBC erg room and gym, workshop and Coaches office.
The ULBC fleet is outstanding and includes a total of 23 Empacher racing shells, including 6 Empacher eights. ULBC has invested significantly in the fleet in the last two seasons, purchasing since 2015:
> Two Empacher carbon wing eights
> Six Empacher coxless fours/quads
> Nine Empacher pairs
> One Empacher coxed four
These additions to the current fleet mean ULBC has one of the best fleets of any rowing programme in the World, and this reflects our ambitions for the club.
The ULBC gym, also located at the Boathouse, is supplemented by the Univeristy of London’s gyms all around the city, meaning Student Athletes can complete land training with total flexibility around their studies. Landing training at ULBC is accompanied with support from two S&C coaches and two physiologists.
The UL Boathouse is only just over 20 minutes by train from central London, making it closer to the University than any other leading UK university is to their boathouse.
