BUCS Regatta 2019 – UL head to Nottingham for University Championships

Posted by | Men's Squad, Races, Women's Squad | April 30, 2019

The University of London has 29 entries into this weekend’s BUCS Regatta in Nottingham, across men’s & women’s, sweep & sculling events.

The UL Women will be aiming to defend their Championship Eights title won last year, for the first time ever. UL has won the Silver medal in Men’s Championships Eights for the last two seasons. With this season’s young squad the UL Men will be looking to build upon their Head of the River result from March.

The University of London will boat a Lightweight Men’s Eight for the first time since 2014. UL won Gold in the LW Eight at BUCS Regatta in 2012, ’13 and ’14. UL also has Lightweight Fours, Quads and Pairs entered, after winning Gold at BUCS Head in the Lightweight Four in February.

Following BUCS Regatta a handful of UL athletes travel to Germany to race Duisberg Regatta with the Great Britain U23 & Development teams. We then commence our Henley Women’s and Henley Royal preparations.
