Ailish Sheehan

We report with great regret Sunday evening one of our athletes, Ailish Sheehan was involved in a serious accident whilst representing Great Britain at the FISU World University Championships. The precise circumstances of the accident remain unclear and are likely to do so for some time to come.

Ailish is currently in a coma but being well looked after in intensive care in a Poznan hospital. The injuries sustained are a fractured skull and a broken arm.

Ailish was selected in the Women’s Coxless Four that won a bronze medal at the Championship and featured in the Women’s Senior Coxed Four that recently won Women’s Henley Regatta.
