The University of London Boat Club (ULBC) has selected five crews to race at Henley Women’s Regatta (HWR) 2016. ULBC athletes will also feature in two GB composite crews, racing in the Elite Eights and Elite Quads.
After team success at BUCS Regatta and multiple wins at both the Metropolitan Regatta & Reading Amateur Regatta the squad is set to attempt to win at HWR for a 20th year in a row, as ULBC enter the event with 19 years of successive wins behind them.
Two coxed fours race, in the Senior Coxed Four event and the Academic Coxed Four event (an event ULBC has won the last two years). A double of UL Women’s Captain Lottie Bruce (King’s College, London) and Emma Reiser (Royal Holloway) competes in Senior Doubles, along with entries into Elite Pairs and Senior Lightweight Singles.
Emily Craig competes as part of the Great Britain Lightweight Women’s Quad in Elite Quads and Matilda Horn coxes a Great Britain development Eight racing Elite Eights.
This Saturday is also Marlow Regatta at Dorney with the UL Men’s 1st & 2nd Eights entered into the Elite and Senior Eights categories, as they prepare for Henley Royal Regatta.
