UL Tyrian - row and have fun with alumni
UL has a thriving alumni community comprising hundreds of people who have rowed for the Club during the past 60 years. UL Tyrian Club is based at the boathouse. Members of all ages compete at regattas and other events in the UK and worldwide. In 2022 Tyrian won a gold medal in the Coastal World Championship and competed in the Head of the Charles and many UK events.
Supporting UL - The ULBC Trust
The Trust is a registered Charity supporting ULBC and rowing in the University.
It was initially established to supplement University funding, but nowadays provides the bulk of the funding for the Club. It provides all the boats and equipment, subsidised camps, kit, and most importantly professional coaching salaries and costs. Without the Trust ULBC would not exist.
Some 400 alumni and other supporters make regular subscriptions to the Trust but the
bulk of its funding comes from the 124 Patrons who donate a minimum of £250 each year.
